Gunung Lambak stands at an altitude of 510m. It is situated just outside the town of Kluang in Johor, Malaysia. Lambak, literally means disorderly heap, which best describes the terrain to the hilltop. Though short, the ascent is steep with ropes (and roots) along the way to assist in the ascent.
The hill is just about 10 minutes out of Kluang town. From the foot of the hill, it’s a gradual but steep 700m walk before arriving at the summit. With determination, any reasonably fit person should be able to reach the hilltop within 1 hour. Descending takes about the same time as one needs to be careful of the many roots along the way.
After the hike, we will head down for a meal before we come back to Singapore.
