This is a large sparsely inhabited island, which rises 2000 ft (600 m) above sea level off the east coast of Johor, Malaysia. It was nicknamed the “General’s Hat Island” by Chinese seamen hundreds of years ago.
This is my third visits and i never get bored of it. This time we have 8 of us on this adventure. This is really a nice place to relax and getaway especially after a stressful work week.
Our Fun & Happy Activities we have done on this trip.
- Waterfall Hike , Rock Jump and Chill out
- Beach Bumming
- Snorkeling at Marine Park / Pulau Lima / P. Mentinggi / P. Sedilark
- Island Crossing
- Island Hopping
- Stargazing
Besides Dahab in Red Sea, this is by far the best snorkeling site i have discovered. This place is rustic and the people here are friendly. It is better than Pulau Tioman for sure.
If you are planning for a trip to the island, then make it a point to visit the island between April and June. These are the best months for diving in the clear and calm waters of the island.
